Guided by an experienced art tutor and Queenstown local, you’ll capture stunning scenery and explore the mountains and valleys through your own artistic lens. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or trying art for the first time, all levels are warmly welcomed on this immersive adventure. Over the course of the day, we’ll visit some carefully chosen locations guaranteed to spark your imagination and offer the perfect settings for artistic exploration.

This journey includes a small amount of walking, making it accessible for most participants. Along the way, we’ll stop to discuss sketching techniques and composition tips, ensuring you leave with not just beautiful drawings, but also a new way of seeing and appreciating the outdoors.

Your personal art tutor will guide you step-by-step in creating a small series of drawings in your complimentary Moleskine sketchbook, using the high-quality art materials provided, including Graphatint sketching pencils, watercolour paints and paper . Together, we’ll closely observe the landscape, learning to sketch the shapes, contours, and light as seen directly in nature.

As part of our commitment to protecting the places we visit, we follow a strict leave-no-trace approach. All water used is carefully collected and returned with us, and we use reusable containers and utensils for our picnic to reduce waste. Throughout the day, you’ll hear about local environmental efforts and regenerative initiatives in the region, giving deeper meaning to your connection with the land.
