This is a relaxing and fun way of giving art a go!
On our Half and Full Day sketching excursions you are taken to scenic locations in luxury transport to learn to sketch. Learn from our tutors how to simply and spontaneously capture the landscapes of your Queenstown holiday. This is far more rewarding than taking a photograph. No art experience is necessary. If you wish, add in some artist’s studio or gallery visits as well! These excursions are especially suitable for people who have always longed to be able to draw or sketch. Exclusive groups of two to six adults. Our tutors are professional artists who can ‘unlock’ your personal creativity and hidden talents with artistic tips and techniques that can be used long after the excursion ends.
Sketching locations can include historic sites, lakes, gardens, mountains, river canyons and tussock high country. The suitability of locations varies daily according to the light conditions and weather generally, which affect both your comfort and pleasant sketching ambience.
If desired, you can also enjoy a glass or two of wine from one of our many celebrated labels (at own cost). Guided visits to local artists in their studios and/or dealer art galleries (refer Artists’ Studio/Art Gallery Tours for details) can be included in the Full Day Combo Excursion (see below) to suit your interests.
We can provide tuition in English, Spanish and Chinese languages.
Non-sketching friends and partners are welcome to join our excursions at a lesser rate provided space is available.We offer 10% discount for bookings made 10 or more days in advance through this web site.

- Pick up from/drop off to local accommodation in luxury vehicle and transport to scenic sketching location/s (includes up to 45 minutes travel by road each way at start/end of excursion).
