The editor of Life & Leisure sketches at Kelvin Heights

Last week I was honoured to have the editor of Life & Leisure magazine out for a mid day sketching excursion. It was an extremely hot, still day we went to where one starts the bike/walking track to Jacks Point at the Kelvin Heights Golf course. It was very hot and hazy, so out came my canopy chairs and they were perfect as neither Kate nor Stewart had hats. Megan tutored them, whilst I went and found a suitable lunch spot. We ended up at the yacht club pavilion which was perfect, no one around and although I forgot to give them cheese and strawberries they seemed relaxed and happy to continue sketching there for the remainder of their excursion. I was really delighted to meet them both and I was impressed with Kate’s interpretation of willow trees, and Stewart’s sketching ability, they both took to sketching so quickly, I hope they continue the activity as they travel a lot.
